Baroque music is the best. 💟💟💟
The chacona above by 17th century Spanish composer Juan Arañés, performed by Jordi Savall's group, was the music for my wedding processional.
Monteverdi's Zefiro Torna is also one of my favorite examples of a ciaccone. Nuria Rial and Philippe Jaroussky's rendition below.

One of my favorite musical forms is the Chaconne. This musical structure places a strong constraint on the composer: they can only use a small repeated set of chords for the entire piece. But, in the hands of a skilled composer this constraint can be the ground for some amazing musical innovation. The Bach-Busoni Chaconne in D minor is one of my favorite examples of this. With a simple repeated 8 chord phrase underlying the piece, Bach composes 15 min of music without a single boring note. Beautiful!
Also, Helene Grimaud is excellent in this performance.
